Adopt a Pit Bull Terrier (short coat)

The young lady with the big big smile is a new arrival from an overflowing shelter. Mattie is a super-friendly girl who loves everybody. Update Mattie has gone to a foster home and her foster mom and dad say she is one of the most affectionate dogs they’ve ever known. She likes to sit on their laps and sleep in bed with them. She did eat one shoe when left alone one day so she may have a little separation anxiety – hardly surprising given all the changes in her life lately. She is mostly housetrained - just a couple of small accidents in the house - but she also lets you know by barking or pacing that she needs to go out. Otherwise, she has shown good house manners. She was great with a visiting dog and with other dogs as long as they are friendly to her. She was even fine with a cat she met in the street and loved getting attention from kids in the street. Her foster mom thinks Mattie will make a wonderful family pet and we agree! Mattie is 2 years old and weighs 45 pounds.
